About Me
CURRENT MISSION
Enjoy!
ABOUT ME
Currently teaching Spanish at KU, I've been in Lawrence KS for about 7-8 months. Before that, I taught English for 3 years in Osaka, Japan. So, I guess you could say that travel, languages, and education are big themes in my life! Anyways, I like to talk to people, try to be nice, etc.
PHILOSOPHY
I just try to live and explore. Try to do positive things, learn from the people I meet and enjoy... it might make me sound like a very carefree sort of person, but I do have a pretty serious side too. When I'm traveling, I try to let my carefree side take over!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I have had some great experiences surfing, and I want to pay back the generosity of those hosts! I currently live with roommates, so my availability as a host will vary, but we are all friendly and open people, and we would like to host! I feel grateful to be a part of this project!
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I've only had great couch surfing experiences so far, hosting and surfing and at meetings... I hope to continue that trend!

Music, Movies, and Books
music... I like modest mouse, the beatles, david bowie... I dunno, I either like stuff or I don't! I am increasingly interested in rap music, although I am a pretty casual listner. Recently discovered MF Doom. I am also a fan of the queens of the stone age. A little bit ago, I happened to pick up a biography of Kurt Cobain, so I started listening to Nirvana again. I play guitar (mostly acoustic), and used to play bass, so I like to listen to music that gets me excited to play.
I like books that get me thinking, and wish that I had more time to read!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Saw the temples at Angkor Watt, Cambodia... Saw the sun rise on Mt Fuji. A few years ago traveled through a few countries in Europe...I don't know how exciting my life is on paper, but it certainly has been amazing to me!
Teach, Learn, Share
I want to learn how to:
play instruments, speak languages, give massages, do yoga, etc. I often say that I want to learn how to cook, but I seem to lack a strong motivation... I do, but I prefer just eating.
I can teach languages, like English, Spanish and Japanese... I can teach you some guitar?!
