About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Seek awesomeness

ABOUT ME

I am a freelance tutor, so I'm very busy seasonally. If I have some spare time I'm very happy to show you the parts of NYC that I know, but those are usually the food joints and geeky places like Columbia's campus and museums. I'm perhaps an excessively casual person, in personality, dress code, and so on. I enjoy a stiff drink like the next person but I'll usually still try to figure out one of the many puzzles and problems that I like to give myself.

PHILOSOPHY

If anything could be my philosophy, I'd say it's a philosophy of work. Pretty much the main thing I care about is doing something that I value.

Music, Movies, and Books

Most of my favorite books these days are non-fiction on Math and Science. I like a wide range of movies from Sound of Music to Coen Brothers films. With music, it's usually indie shit and country. Every now and then I'll be in a mood for some punk, rap, jazz, or something.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I'm more interested in what's next, but a lot of my favorite stuff so far has been interesting stuff in Math/Science/Philosophy. I've also enjoyed some fun times abroad, boating across the Adriatic and going to an Sunday service in Dublin while super fucking hung over.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can definitely show you the parts of Math and Science that I think are the most mind-bendy. We can do the whole "How do we know we're not just brains in vats?" conversation.

Countries I’ve Visited

Austria, Belgium, Czech Republic, France, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Italy, Mexico, Netherlands, Puerto Rico, Switzerland, United Kingdom, United States
