About Me

CURRENT MISSION

Try to convince others to give up their impossible missions and have a nice and mindful life.

ABOUT ME

I was born in Málaga, in the south of Spain. I spend my childhood attending family meetings at my grands' big house, enjoying cake fights, karaokes and non-stop jokes with my relatives. Then I become a teenager and everything changed, same sense of humor was kept but without cake fights :) Then University and work took most of my time until now... (I'm from 1976) First I studied Filology (English and Spanish) and then moved to San Sebastian (the north of Spain) where I studied Computer Science, then in Barcelona where I studied Acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine, and then moved to Istanbul for a few years. Since 2011 back to Málaga where I have my praxis / practitioner's clinic. Eclectic? Not enough I think... :)

Always learning and researching keep my motivation high, health is the target.
Biking? anywhere, no cars go...

PHILOSOPHY

Do what you to want, and have it in return.
Be kind and trust humanity. Life is easy, don’t mess it up.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I try to travel often if possible. Discovering new stories from people around the globe is the best learning, and this place is the perfect meeting point.
I also hope to have the opportunity to understand why Paulo Coelho is so beloved by people, maybe someone can explain it to me :)

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
Growing up every year, eager to improve it.

Interests

I like traveling to cold and warm places but I don't like to feel like a tourist. I really enjoy spending time in the kitchen (yes, you can take advantage of it). I like countryside and mountains, sea and lakes, but also populated cities, a little bit of each one.

Music, Movies, and Books

Movies: Sci-Fi, Terror, Adventures and any non-weepy feature, life can be sad enough to have extra tears by the silver screen...

Books: Historical novels and essays are always welcomed, lately focused on Byung-Chul Han and Yuval Noah Harari, not much into self-help or new era stuff.

Phylosophy: Schopenhauer, Byung-Chul Han, Estoics, Chantal Mayard...

Arts: trying to learn violin and starting to get along well with my ukelele, also getting started with drawing but always within the borders of a non-expert admirer. Modern art? Mmmm, give me 5 min to think about it...

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Admit that "I know nothing".

Teach, Learn, Share

Anything related to Traditional Chinese Medicine...
Languages? Mmmm, why not? Next: Chinese, second year now.
我会说一点中文
Sapere Aude!

What I Can Share with Hosts

A hand in case you need it.
Eclectic conversation and a lot of questions, more than answers I guess... : ).
Nice kitchen experiences, no-risk, just a mixture of different cooking Mediterranean traditions in the same pot (and more questions about your local specialties).
Maybe some health care if needed (I always bring my needles with me, just in case).

Countries I’ve Visited

Belgium, Bulgaria, Canada, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Luxembourg, Monaco, Netherlands, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Switzerland, Turkey, United Kingdom, United States

Countries I’ve Lived In
