À propos de moi
**not currently accepting guests because of the pandemic**
Howdy. I'm 30 going on 8000 years old; sort of a creaky old man in a creaky young woman’s body. Few things are better than sitting around with a friend and having deep discussions about life, philosophy, books, music, comic books, food, and everything else possible. I adore silliness and absurdity.
I am currently working on a blog/website for my writing. Follow my adventures at greenworldwriting.com
I was born in New York, lived in Belgium for 3 years, then lived in Kansas, Denver for 20 years, and now I’m living in Tulsa. I have traveled quite a bit, but never enough. Hitchhiking and backpacking are my favorite ways to travel. I love exploring places by foot or train. Anything that helps me slow down and get a chance to truly experience a place.
My roommate/BFF and I are in the beginning phases of creating what we call a secular humanist monastery. We believe in creating and sharing a place of rest, study, community, reflection, and contemplation. Come hang out with us and help us develop this passion project. We promise we are #NotACult.
Pourquoi je suis sur Couchsurfing
Things feel a lot less shitty when you’re connecting with real, decent, and unique fellow human beings from around the world. Makes the world suck less.
Centres d'intérêt
Cooking, reading, writing, feminism, socialism, making candles, getting drinks, hanging with friends, hiking, camping, revolution, philosophy, music, literature, queer culture/community, mythology, gardening, animals, making dope collages, journaling, wandering, laughing, silliness, corn, garlic, potatoes, pizza, French fries, onions (food can be interests), spices, tattoos...all kinds of things really. I'm pretty open. I'm always down to have my mind changed and/or my views and ideas enhanced, destroyed, built up...you know.

Morceaux de musique, films et livres
I’ll listen to just about anything once. I tend to listen to music based on what mood I’m in or what I’m thinking about rather than genre. Try me. I like experimenting. Sometimes my roommates and I like to turn on a random playlist one of us has created and then the other two of us will try to guess the theme of that playlist. So, that’s a bit about me and music.
I recently watched the Karate Kid for the first time. I can quote Monty Python and the Holy Grail almost word for word. Sometimes I give myself the speeches from Lord of the Rings to pump myself up. Also, Titanic. Pretty much anything but most horror. I dabble in it, though.
Let’s talk about any and all books. Currently reading: Feel Free: Essays by Zadie Smith, White Noise by Don DeLilo, Eichmann in Jerusalem: The Banality of Evil by Hannah Arendt, A History of Food in 100 Recipes by William Sitwell, The Crocodile by Dostoyevsky, and my old middle school journals.
