About Me
Hi! I'm Alessandra and I'm 23. I'm about to graduate in History of Art at the University of Bologna. I'm a fan of the gothic architecture and also of the great Flemish Masters. That's the reason why I took my Erasmus in Gent last year, falling in love with this city... and gluhwine.
When the sun comes out I usually take my backpack and go for hiking with friends. I love to stay in the middle of green. But I'm also a sea-addicted person, it is my oxygen. Especially since I came from Sardinia, where I lived until three years ago. This place made me understand also how precious our roots and traditions are. I really believe that cultures are values to share and not to destroy, because they define us as humans. Of course, the best way to do this is by travelling and meeting new amazing people.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Couchsurfing is a new experience for me. I travelled in many countries around Europe. During my last experiences I stayed in hostels and I experienced the power of chemistry that people are able to reach, just by sharing some beautiful moments together. I spent evenings in pubs with strangers, sharing our beers, laughs and life stories and I understood how those moments will be unforgettable.
I just start to realise how much more there is to discover and I would like to take all the chances in order to do this.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
My most important experience is the project I took in Romania, trying to fight prejudices against roma people in the city of Resita, using the power of art: theathre, photography, dance and painting. I shared two amazing weeks with people from all over Europe.
