About Me

Hi everyone! I’m Alessandra. And I’m Italian, yes. I’ve spent my last 6 years travelling/living across Ireland,Spain,Australia. I’m currently based in Palma de Mallorca and I live in the city of Palma.
I love to move and live around and of course life flow and I’ve grown up in age but.. But I still do not know what I want to be when I really grow up (if this ever happens) but luckily, I am good in not to worry about the future. In fact, planning frightens me and I am doing things rather spontaneously. Practically, besides being adventurous, restless, energy endless and unorganized I am optimistic, uncomplicated and don´t need much to be satisfied and happy. I like to keep things simple and to improvise. I love to continuosly enlarge my world-view and perspective and therefore exchange with other beings is ultra-beneficial and welcome. Though I am open-minded and sociable and I talk a lot,I don’t want to write a big poem here.
Ah one important thing: I like mostly everything and everyone , one thing I hate is when people I don’t know try to touch me and hug me. I need huge time for that.
Ah one last thing.. for the privacy reasons and personal ones, I can’t accept requests for more than 3 days.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

It's the best way to experience a place from the perspective of the locals, getting close to their way of life and living, and beside that I can’t lie .. I am traveller and I’m host, so I understand that when travelling you want to save up a bit on accomodations too.
I’ve experienced increadibly amazing hospitality so far and hope to find likewise fantastic moments with other people on my future trips. As well I wish that I can do good and be of help for people who visit my place, wherever I am and I will be!

Interests

foreign places, people and the atmosphere they are creating, conversations, friends their thoughts and ways of living, being out in nature, aimlessly walking around in cities and country sides, apples, carrots, coffee, observing, watching and making art (though I´m not that good at it),handicrafts, recycling, upcycling, cycling, travelling, putting myself into uncertain situations, hitchhiking, irregularity

Music, Movies, and Books

Actually I like movies but unfortunately, I am very bad in watching them because I fall asleep so quickly and I remember only few of them . But I do not get tired trying it again and again. I love documentaries. History and nature ones. Music is a wonderful thing but I am not able to define my preferences.. it’s so a big world! I really love it all! Mmm maybe not the classic one.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I did a lot of unusual things and several potential candidates pop up in my mind right know. But for each of them I cannot classify if they are awesome or just stupid! It’s only up to us as we see it or how we feel when we do it! But then again,I would prefer for the topic to come out if and when we meet.
So far the only thing I’m really proud of,is to have been able to step out from my small village reality and travel.
Wait,I actually have one crazy thing: being stuck on a island in Malaysia with other couchsurfers, during a massive storm, with all the water literally eating the sand below our bungalow and we had just one flashlight, that could barely show us how big the damage was,so we had to stay up all night waiting for the storm to pass and hoping good karma would be with us. That night was Xmas eve.

Teach, Learn, Share

My experiences and my cooking! Yes,I’m good at it!!
But I do love more when I learn something from someone or when I listen and that would be part of my memories forever.
