About Me

Hi everybody! My name is Alessandro Ambrosino, I'm 26 years old, I'm Italian and I have studied history and political sciences in Bologna.

I come from Friuli, a small region in the North East of Italy, at the borders with Austria and Slovenia. It's really beautiful there, at the corner of the main european cultures!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I decided to join the couchsurfing community because I am currently on the road, doing a cycling holiday with my "little" brother. He turned 18 this year and we decided to have an adventure together: we cycle from Brussel to our home in Italy... we are "the bike brothers" ahah!

Interests

Culture and nature in a perfect mix. That's my idea of life. I love history and International relations. I studied contemporary history for years and I hope to find a good PhD.

But let's put these boring things behind! I also love nature, I come from a small village in the italian Alps... i think my love for outdoor activities could be seen as a natural consequence! I like, trekking, hiking and I love the colors of the peaks when the sun goes down...

Music, Movies, and Books

Ohhh... I think we can stay hours talking about music, books and films. So I put here only one book, in order to take the rest for other conversations. The book is "La leggenda dei monti naviganti" (the legend of the sailing mountains) by Paolo Rumiz, an italian travel writer, and it's my favourite. If I love so much travelling I must thank him!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

The most incredible thing I did was starting this bike trip with my brother without a couchsurfing profile :-D

Teach, Learn, Share

I can cook (as every italian!) but I'm not a chef!

I would like to share some good moments with people I met travelling. I think that we are all looking for the same here: meeting people and share experiences... because only talking and having good time together we will grow.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can cook, I can fix little things, but most important I love hearing and sharing travel experiences.
