About Me

Hi guys! I am a new couchsurfer! I am an italian guy moving abroad for a PhD in Aachen (Germany), after obtaining my Bachelor's and Master's degree in Italy. I am friendly, respectful and always eager to learn and discover new things. About myself, I grew up in a small town in the centre of Italy and then I moved to Milan for studying. I like playing basketball, cooking and watching a lot of tv series and many other things, even though I always feel that I have never enough time to do these things.
For now I do not accept guests, since I do not have an apartment, but maybe I will when I'll have it. I look forward to meet you!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I signed in Couchsurfing because I am looking for a place to stay at the begining of my PhD in Aachen and I want to make new friends in this new experience. In addition, I want to try the experience of couchsurfing!

Interests

I already mentioned something about my interests. Actually, I can say that I have some fixed interests, while other varies. I am the kind of guy that becomes easily interested in new things. However, my favourite sport is basketball, even though I played at a competitive level only before starting the university. After that I continued to play only on playgrounds. I am also a great NBA fan. In addition, in my life I have also practiced football (but I was not good at all...) and tennis (bad serve).
Cooking is another passion of mine. I like to learn the food of italian's tradition, which I think it is compulsory to know, as well as trying food of other countries.
I put also physics among my interests, since for me it is a passion.
Lately I do not watch many movies, but many tv series

Music, Movies, and Books

About music I like classic rock: Pink Floyd, Led Zeppelin, Guns n Roses, The Doors, Dire Straits and much more. However, unfortunately I am getting more and more commercial lately.
I like movies of Quentin Tarantino and maybe my favourite movie is Pulp Fiction (maybe I have watched it 20 times). I love also Django Unchained. Another movie that I love is the Last Samurai and since I watched it I wanted to visit Japan, but for now I have not done it yet.
As my favourite book I pick "The adventures of Tom Sawyer" Mark Twain. I love also the books of Agathe Christie (And Then There Were None above all) and as a contemporary thriller writer Jo Nesbo. I would like also to mention other books that means a lot to me: A Christmas Carol of Charles Dickens and Of Mice and Men of Steinback. I have read also many books of Gabriel Garcia Marquez. As a teenage passion I cannot avoid to mention Harry Potter! However, my readings depend on the period of my life.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I don't know if here I am supposed to write something like " Once I parachuted", but I have never done something like that, and I do not think I will ever do.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you have problem with maths and physics here I am, though I do not think it is the main purpose of couchsurfing! I am also good in computer's stuff.
