About Me

Hi all :)

my name is Alessandro Nitti and I'm a 25 years old Italian guy from Puglia, a beautiful region in the Southern part of Italy where I grew up and stayed until I was 22.
After that age and my bachelor studies I went studying management engineering first in Milan and then in Stockholm where I stayed about one year and a half having an amazing experience.
It was in Stockholm that my desire to travel, visit new countries and learn languages flourished and for example brought me to live in Barcelona for 3 months during the summer of 2015.

At the present moment, after graduating in July 2016, I am taking a gap year in order to travel in South America and decide what I'd like to do from this moment forward and where to live. After a close friend in Stockholm described me his adventure in South America I decided I wanted to do something similar and I am now visiting the subcontinent starting from Argentina.

In general my friends describe me as happy and friendly always willing to chitchat and help a friend in need. I believe to be polite and respectful and I can't wait to meet people and share experiences in South America.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I got to know Couchsurfing some years ago from a friend that was using it. From that moment on, along my way, I discovered that many of my friends traveling the world use it to meet new friends in foreign countries and better discover cities and culture.

I decided to be on Couchsurfing as, during last year, I decided to travel as much as possible in my life. There is no better way of knowing new places than living them with natives.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

When my best friend an I turned 18, we decided to go on an adventure for 10 days in the southern part of Puglia. We went alone, with almost no money, nowhere to go or to sleep (except for my beloved Y10) and basically nobody knew exactly where we were or what were we doing. We spent those incredible days visiting places along the way and sleeping in my mum's car. We met lots of friends I am still in contact with and we were forced to survive in the best way possible, with what gentle people were offering us.

It's something I will always remember as my best trip ever, especially for the company.

Teach, Learn, Share

I'm fascinated by the thought of learning how to play the acoustic guitar and dance salsa...what a better place to learn it than South America?! :)

Of course I'd be more than happy to teach Italian and share thoughts over my culture :P

What I Can Share with Hosts

I am more than willing to share my modest experiences and culture concerning Italy, my home country, and the other countries I've lived in, Sweden and Spain.

Countries I’ve Visited

Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Chile, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Latvia, Lithuania, Peru, Poland, Russian Federation, United Kingdom
