About Me

Hi, my name is Alessandro.
I live in Perugia, a town in central Italy between Rome and Florence, famous for chocolate and jazz, as well as for its rich history (from etruscan to medieval).

I grew in this special environment trying to catch each single stimulus and now I'm a Medicine student attending my hometown university and I'm graduated in flute at the local college of music.

After the Highschool I worked (well, actually it wasn't free time for real) as a copywriter for a booking and event management agency.
In 2016 - 2017 I spent a whole year studying in Bonn and travelling around Germany thanks to the Erasmus+ Program.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

If asked to sum up my attitude with one adjective I would say "curious".
I love travels, whether I move across the world whether I listen to music, I watch a play at the theatre, I read a book in my bed or I eat something new that I had never tried.

I'm on Couchsurfing basically because I love people, I love talking, experiencing different points of view and visiting cities and towns with an alternative lens.

Interests

1) Travelling (you don't say!);
2) Music (I'm really open minded), I play the flute, the bass, the kalimba and synthetizers. I love going out to theatre and music hall listening classical music and I love hanging out among clubs (rock, electronic music... I love them all);
3)Visual Art;
4) Science;
5) Philosophy and debates;
6) Sports: I used to run foot races, now unfortunately I don't have enough time...
7) Cooking ... and eating.

These tags aren't obviously in order of preference!

Music, Movies, and Books

They're quite a lot, but I'll try to sum up my 3 favourite of each category.

Music:
1) Gustav Mahler, and other classical stuff
2) Electronic & Avant Garde Music (Aphex Twin stuff, and lots more..)
3) Rock - especially Punk & Hardcore Punk - (Refused, Fugazi, Late of the Pier, Black Flag, Husker Du...)

Books:
1) Il Gattopardo - G. Tommasi di Lampedusa
2) Notes from the underground - F. Dostoevskij
3) Der Zauberberg - T. Mann

Movies:
1) Det sjunde inseglet / The Seventh Seal
2) Il sorpasso
3) The Black Cauldron

Teach, Learn, Share

Teaching:
- cooking a real italian meal;
- lots of things about music;
- my tips about how to have lucid dreams;
- italian language;
- some medicine stuff.

Learning:
- I'm learning GERMAN, so, yes, I'm interested if you can talk to and correct me in that language;
- even few words from the language of the places I visit;
- to play new instruments;
- anything you can teach me, I'm really curious!
