ABOUT ME

Alessandro Iovino is an italian photographer born in Parma. He started is photography carrer in June 2013 after gaining the Diploma in Studio Photography at the Speos photography school in London.
Starting a photography carrer was a big change in his life, before attending the photography master in London, Alessandro gained a degree in Economy and Marketing at the University of Parma and before that, was keen to make a living with sport.
His intention with the University was to try to follow the steps of his parents even though, he has always known, since the the end of the artistic high school, that his life was in the art world.
Did not really matter which would have been the means of expression, but he was conscious that he had the need to have a life that could thrill, excite and touch him very often.
From 2009 to 2012, he travelled a great part of the western hemisphere, initially the purpose was to learn english, in fact he studied for 6 months in an Australian school, however then, he let himself being fascinated by the unique life experience of traveling.
Moving from Australia to New Zealand, crossing the South Asian countries and finding the incredible wonders of India, Alessandro was filling the interest for the visual art of photography, in particular for storytelling.
In 2014, he discovered CESURA, the italian collective and independent agency founded by the Magnum photographer Alex Majoli.
Alessandro is currently working and collaborating with Cesura.
