Overview
About Me
My name is Alessia but you can call me Alexa if that´s easier for you. I´m a 19 year old volunteer from Germany and I grew up 1 hour southly from Cologne. That´s also the city I plan to study Sociology and History in as soon as I return from Nicaragua, where I´m living for 14 months.
On workdays I´m teaching English at a preschool and on weekends I try to explore the most of Nicaragua while meeting new people and sharing experiences with them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
The reason I started to think about joining the couchsurfing network was that I´m a pretty poor volunteer without any bigger savings.
But why I actually joined is that I love the idea of exploring a new country/city and its culture right where it´s happening: on a citizen´s couch.
Staying in a Hostel can be an adventure, too. But it´s never as helpful with the place´s hotspots and as entertaining as couchsurfing!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Leave my home behind to live a low standard life
Teach, Learn, Share
At the moment I´m living and travelling in Central America so of course I love to learn some Spanish while I´m meeting new people.
But also I can teach you some English and if you´re interested some German.
What I Can Share with Hosts
For example I like improvising cooking, so if you teach me some typical cooking, I can teach you how to make a pretty big, but in the end quite delicious mess. And also I´m a very clean cooker - I love to clean kitchens, don´t know why.
I´m sure I could share more, just ask and I´m thankful to help!
