I am a 22-year-old with a passion for travelling, anime, manga, K-POP and self-development.
I am originally from Italy: I have lived in the south of the country for seventeen years, before moving to the US for a year as a high school exchange student. Here, I lived with a host family whom I love just as much as my original family. My experience in the US made me appreciate the wonders of exploring other people's cultures and perspectives, and after that, I decided to study in the UK for my university degree.
I currently study Chemical Engineering in Manchester.

By nature, I am quite introverted, but this doesn't stop me from wanting to meet other people and share and learn from each other's experiences. I enjoy art (unfortunately it doesn't mean I am good at it, but I am a good appreciator!), and love exploring the wild. I was in a scout group as a child, and I still really like camping and hiking.
I'd like to travel the world across my lifetime, and meet people as I go along, possibly making long-lasting friendships.

Music, Movies, and Books

Musical long-lasting favourites are Celine Dion, Icon for Hire, Eminem, Rihanna. I got into K-POP only last year, but it's been an obsession since then. The first group I discovered were BTS, but I also enjoy EXO, Blackpink, and Mamamoo, as well as the well known Shinee.

Bookwise, I have read an incredible amount of fiction books when I was a kid, including Harry Potter, Eragon, the Chronicles of Narnia, Game of Thrones...recently I have been more interested in real stories about North Korea and China. I enjoy distopian novels such as the Handmaid's Tale, or 1984.
One of my absolutely favourite authors is Stephen King, and I think Misery and Carrie are some of his best works.

In terms of movies, I am far from being a full-fledged expert, I actually started watching way more movies since I lived in the US, but my cultural luggage is still very limited. I enjoy Pirates of the Caribbean (I had a huge crush on Johnny Depp some long time ago), Titanic.

I can share some of the Italian dishes I know how to cook, teach you Italian and my experiences. I really like listening to others, though, so I have a feeling you'll be the one talking most of the time :P
