About Me

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I live in Trieste with my boyfriend. We just moved from a place where we had a couch to host; unfortunately now we don't have a supplementary couch. However, if you've got a sleeping-bag we are happy to host you!

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I went in Lille (France) for six months to do an Erasmus student exchange, so I passed january 2013 by couchsurfing in that town 'till I found an apartment to live. It was a great experience, I was very lucky, I've always found kind people.
Now I'm in Trieste, my hometown, and I'd like to host people here :)

Interests

I'm curious. All things grab my attention, I learn everyday from people. I like concerts and cultural events like poetry slams, nights at the cinema or at the theatre, conferences and so on. I love to drink beers talking about literature or whatever with old and new friends. My dream is to teach French, and I'll do the best to be able to :)

Music, Movies, and Books

So... films. I like Hitchcock's Psycho and The Birds, Godard's My life to live and Breathless, Lynch's Blue velvet, Bechis' Garage Olimpo, Kubrick's Paths of glory, A clockwork orange and Eyes wide shut... and some SciFi stuff like 2001: A Space Odissey, Terry Gilliam's Brazil and 12 monkeys, Sophie Barthes' Cold souls, Richard Linklater's A scanner darkly and many others.

Hm, music. When I meet someone which does music I'm totally enchanted by, it doesn't matter what kind of music, if it could bring me some emotion I'd listen to it.
I absolutely love noise concerts, don't know why.
I adore dancing in folk, punk and ska concerts, also in little villages fests and I love singer-songwriters, so I appreciate also a voice with a simple guitar.
Here are some groups, dead or alive, that I like: Les Yeux de la Tête, Duman, Monkey3, Les fils de Teuhpu, Psykick Lyricah, Elio e le Storie Tese, Radiodervish, Mano Negra, Einstürzende Neubauten, Trabant, Muse, Davide Van de Sfroos, Agalloch, The Ramones, Gogol Bordello, Blood Red Shoes, Joy Division, I Ministri.

(one thing: I really love all instruments... except ocarinas!)

I'm always reading classics 'cause they're too much and I always feel bad when I think that it's impossible to have read all of them ;) I don't know so much about strictly contemporary stuff, except for poetry: I often read contemporary poets and I go to see their performances and readings.
The books that have broken or built something of my personality are Heinrich Böll's The Clown, Henrik Ibsen's A doll's house, Bret Easton Ellis' American Psycho, Patrizia Valduga's Medicamenta e altri medicamenta, Arthur Rimbaud's Illuminations, John Fante's Ask the dust, Mikhail Bulgakov's Heart of a dog, Giuseppe Nava's Executions, George Orwell's 1984, Amélie Nothomb's Mercure, Nikolaj Gogol's Petersburg's tales, Ray Bradbury's Fahrenheit 451, Franz Kafka's In the penal colony, Louise-Ferdinand Céline's Journey to the End of the Night.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

At 4 years old I went with two friends in the empty office of the kindergarten's director, and I phoned the police to denounce a little friend that killed a beetle :D :D :D

Teach, Learn, Share

If you like cooking and you've got the time I'd like to share my recipes and to learn others! If you're vegan you can teach me how to cook like that (I love meat and cheese and when I have to cook for some veg friends I start panic). I can easily cook without things that I love like pork and beer, but if you like them we could beer... ops, we could become good cooking friends :P
