ABOUT ME
Ciao, I'm Alessio.
I'm here mainly bc in the last years I didn't travel as much as I'd like to. I wish to be able to travel more in the next years - and to couchsurf more as well.
I live in Rome, the city I was born in, with my two cats, Monk and Chloè.
I'm an optician and a musician too. I play saxophone and a lil bit of piano and guitar. Currently I play in a project called "PiuomenoY". Go check it out if you want!
PHILOSOPHY
Don't worry, be kind
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING
I'm mainly a surfer, 'cause I can't host at the moment. However, I'm arranging the house I moved to, and probably there will be space to host a couple of people soon.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I surfed only one time and it was a really good experience :)
Interests
Music is definitely my greatest passion, but I'm also into photography, literature and art in general. Everything that feeds my head is welcomed! ;)
I like going to live shows, theatre, exhibitions.
I also love to take a walk in the city center without any particular plan, deciding at the moment where to go and what to do.
I'm basically a very curious person so it's easy for me to find myself into new interests...some can last, the others pass very quickly.
I'm not afraid to leave something I started, if I feel like it's not working for me anymore.
Currently I'm studying to replace my job (already part-time) with something I can do from remote, in order to be free to move and travel more.

Music, Movies, and Books
I love music of very different kinds: jazz, trip hop, reggae, electro, classic, italian songwriters, neo-soul.
Talking about movies, I used to love Coen bros' films (and I still do). The Big Lebowsky is one of my all-time fav.
Other directors I like are Fatih Akin, Vinterberg, Monicelli.
I love to watch movies from all the world, I think it's a great way to start to know and appreciate a culture.
When it comes to books I'm very eclectic, I enjoy very much Russian authors (Bulgakov above all), but also essays, dystopies, classics.
Teach, Learn, Share
I can surely talk to you about music topics, or teach you how to properly cook pasta :D
And since, as I said, I'm very curious, I'd like to know about pretty anything you can teach me.
