Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I haven’t been out of the country in about 10 years and am excited to have 3 months in New Zealand! I value human connection and collaboration and love that this model bypasses some of the more materialistic aspects of tourism.

Music, Movies, and Books

Blues, bluegrass, folk, funk, classical, hip hop, EDM, jazz ... I love music! I read a lot of non-fiction. Love exchanging book and podcast recommendations.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Ive had a really wild year and managed to make the best of it. I turned a mid-life crisis into a re-branding of sorts and have managed to not get too jaded in the process so Im proud of myself ☺️

Teach, Learn, Share

I love talking gardening, relationships, philosophy, yoga, buddhism, end of life. I love to learn about local culture and history. I believe humans are a part of nature, not separate from it. I believe we have a place in the ecosystem. I love learning how race, gender, economy, religion, and orientation intersect in other parts of the world. As culture continues to homogenize, how do we strive to decolonize our hearts and minds- how do we support the collective struggle for liberation and wellness?
