Why I’m on Couchsurfing

HOW I PARTICIPATE IN COUCHSURFING

I would love to drink coffee (or any other beverage) with you and show you the city where I live in. I'm a open-minded person and I'm curious for your story and the city that you live in. I like to travel, explore and enjoy life (together) and making new friends along the way.

COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE

I have no experience with hosting or surfing so far but I have already helped several people with their problems and questions. For instance, I translated a Swedish (love) letter to Dutch for some girl's friend! Early 2012 I am going to do a big trip in South East Asia, by the route of Russia, Mongolia and China. So Couchsurfing would be a great chance to meet the locals, hang out with them and explore exciting new things! Just received my first ever CouchInvite! I'm very enthusiastic about it. A nice guy who wants to show me his city, Beijing!

Interests

Sports, reading, surfing and hosting, writing stories and poems, making photo's, going to the beach, cooking, travelling (of course) and lots and lots of other things!

Music, Movies, and Books

The complete bookcase at my parents house. It is filled with all the Dutch and international literature classics, but also the modern works. I also really like the art books my father (who is actually a (modern art) painter himself - www.dickberckenkamp.nl) collected over the years. They always look really great. Especially the ones with the modern art paintings in it. My taste of music is really, really diverse. I listen to a lot of things and styles. It just depends on how I feel or what I just explored, surfing the web or by talking to others. I'm always in for a good movie. And I'm also very curious for the movies you (or the people in your (or a other) country) like.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have been in Antarctica. Walked trough the whitest snow and swam in the coldest water on earth. Indescribably!
