About Me

I’m a 23 year old Romanian immigrant and recent Ohio State graduate creating an independent story-based documentary about track and field (or Athletics) in the USA leading up to the 2020ne Tokyo Olympics.
I’ve been given a lot of names pertaining to my vast amounts of interests and depth of knowledge in them but I am sum it up to saying I love to learn about anything! As far as how I get by, I am all over the place at the moment. Beyond this documentary which is just a hobby I decided to start all of a sudden in February, I am a running coach, youth mental health specialist, exercise physiologist, Nike Sportswear product tester, applied sports sciences/biology researcher, and a freelance electronics/IT specialist.
I love staying busy but I also love community and socializing. I was a Young Life leader in college, mentoring middle and high school students, and I still mentor a group of high school boys as they navigate that messy but joyous point of life.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I’m filming a self-funded movie and I discovered CS through Reddit. The whole thing blew my mind because I’m limited in production funding and also love the idea of meeting new people who have a passion of meeting new people and exploring new places like I do. I hope to meet people who can tell me stories of their adventures and I’d be happy to do the same in return!

Music, Movies, and Books

Favorite Musical Artists: twenty one Pilots, House of Heros, and Josh Elliott (all hometown bands I grew up with and the latter is my extremely talented roommate who’s music is constantly in my ears)
Favorite movies: Boyhood, and anything by Wes Anderson besides that I don’t watch a ton of movies or tv except for anime)

Favorite Books: The Great Divorce, The Chronicles of Narnia, Healing Children, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night Time, The Language of God

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Nike flew me all expenses paid to their world headquarters to bring my original project to life with them that lasted all of 2019-2020 and then helped me plan a solo trip down the Oregon Coast to Eugene.

Teach, Learn, Share

I love teaching people about exercise, health, and wellness!
I’m a certified Exercise Physiologist by the American College of Sports Medicine. I am also also the son of a master carpenter and I spent my childhood around a wood shop. If I’m on an extended stay with you let’s tackle a home project :).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I’m a jack of all trades, and a master of quite a few of them :), wellness, exercise, carpentry, videography, cooking, learning, I love working with others in it all and so much more! I’d love to teach you anything in these topics or even create an exercise prescription for you similar to what I do with my patients/clients! I am also happy to bring you local beer from Columbus Breweries or prepare some of my bomb breads, cookies, muffins etc as a thank you! I can also offer a professional photo shoot for you and any one else you’d like to include! I am a clean person by my upbringing and have high respect for other people’s space! I live with 3 roommates and do practically all the chores in the house because I enjoy serving them in that way!
