About Me
Hi all :)
My name is Alex, I finished my Master studies in The Netherlands (I'm German) and before I start my job at the Dutch Development Bank, I want to go make some memories in Tanzania and Zanzibar :) I am super easy-going, extroverted and I love to meet new people. My Swahili is ok, but I am trying to improve, so bear with me if you host me haha. I would love to make new friendships and share memories together!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet up with people from all over the world, experience new friendships and new cultures. I think couchsurfing offers a great opportunity, since it combines meeting and getting to know local people and therefore the chance to get to know the culture with an exciting way of travelling. I usually prefer staying with people who are interested in getting to know me and interact with their surfers. I had some really awesome cs experiences when that was the case.

Music, Movies, and Books
AFROBEATS , I love all books by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie (check her out!), other Nigerian writers. I Netflix a little, mostly comedy like Modern Family.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Chasing the guy that mugged me and stole my phone in broad daylight in Nairobi, Kenya with corrupt policemen. 10 hours through the dingiest of places in the outskirts of Nairobi with two policemen and some armed goons they brought along. Let me cut to the chase - got the phone back! But amazing story I really need to share 🤗
Teach, Learn, Share
I can teach you some German, share good conversations and laughter. I would love to learn more Swahili as I have started studying it on the side. I’m a pretty good cook as well :)
