Hello, everyone!
My name is Alex! I was born in a not precisely well known city in the north of Mexico: Durango. I come from a family of agriculturists, so I was raised in the countryside of the northern México. Currently, I’m an MA philosophy student at CDMX. I’m also a guitar player and a mixed martial arts practitioner.

I consider myself a very open-minded and an easy going person for I really appreciate the value of every experience!!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

In my opinion, “to share” is between those small things that can get human beings to recognize each other precisely as humans. I think one of the most important ideals of the couchsurfing platform is to get people from all over the world to share with others. I feel pretty identified with this idea.
I also like to enrich my spirit with different cultures and beliefs, and since CS is a pretty useful option to meet people from all over the world, it is also a perfect alternative to do so.
But let us be honest, it also can make you save a lot of money while traveling. Haha. :)

Interests

As you may already noticed, I’m really interested in arts in general, but I’m also interested in sports and physical culture. I have a black belt in tae kwon do and now Im practicing MMA; I like to run marathons and go hiking. I’m a fan of foot ball soccer and contact sports in general. I can teach you how to kick some ass! 👊🏻😜

Since I was raised in the countryside, I really enjoy going out in the nature and clear my mind, so Im also interested in hiking, camping and pick nicks. :)

Finally, conversation and language sharing is really important for me. I think language is the main instrument through which we learn from and recognize each other. So, I’am really interested in what people can tell me about them and about their beliefs. If you like nice easy going-sharing conversations, I think we can spend some good high quality time together, hehe. :)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is a really special piece of my life and what I probably consider the best part of life itself. Since I’m a music lover, I enjoy listening to many many different kinds of music, but of course everyone has its own preferences. I listen to a lot of blues, jazz, punk rock, shoegaze, minimalism, clasical, ska, reggae, experimental, new wave, post-punk, etc, etc. Also, sharing music is one of my preferred activities, thus music is probably my favorite conversation topic! If you like music same as me, then I’m your guy! :)

I love horror movies and thrillers of all kind (psychological, mystery, crime, etc). Also, I use to watch a lot of art cinema. :)

Please, don't ask me about books because I can spend the whole day talkin' about it! I am a real lover of literature! I mean, I’m a philosophy student! Hahaha
