My goal in life is to learn, see, and do as much as I can. I love to explore and to have awesome conversations. I enjoy outdoor activities. At this point in my life I'm still moving around and am not ready to settle in a specific place. I've lived in Oregon, Alaska and Washington, D.C. I'm an avid movie buff and reader.

I believe simply going to a cool place isn't all there is. To really BE somewhere, you have to explore the culture from an inside perspective and get to know the people. I keep hearing great things about this from my well-traveled friends, and despite my occasional bouts of shyness, couch surfing sounds so rewarding!

I drove up the Alaska-Canada highway in the middle of winter with a tiny car. The road was covered with snow for about 1000 miles but, despite some close calls, there were no major accidents. Not having cell phone service made it just a bit more stressful.
