About Me

I am a graphic designer, writer and photographer, but I am currently taking a year to explore my love of food and wine by working as a professional chef in a restaurant in Berlin.

I am also passionate about the environment and currently doing research into new urbanisms in order to start my PhD in 2020.

I always have several creative projects on the go and love to learn new skills and share what I know with others

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am currently following a band on their final tour filming a documentary and I am using couch surfing to meet more beautiful creative souls in the process.

Interests

I am in love with anything and everything creative. I spend most of my free time on one or other creative pursuits from learning how to knit and sew to taking photos and making short films and animations or writing short stories

Music, Movies, and Books

My favourite music ranges from Jazz to Psych rock to old school hip hop to Techno, but for casual listening, I am always drawn back to bands from the golden age of Indie Rock, like The Strokes, The Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Interpol, Bloc Party, et al. My Favourite band ever is LCD Soundsystem if that means anything.

For books, I love magical realism and some of my favourite authors include Milan Kundera, Haruki Murakami Jorges, Luis Borges

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have bungee jumped off one of the worlds highest bungee jumps, I also spent a week on a goat farm learning to make cheese

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach kintsugi (Japanese ceramic repair) photography and a bit about film making although I am just starting out on the latter so probably stand to learn a lot more, I can of course also teach a lot about cooking and would love to share meals with interesting people.

I see every day as an opportunity to learn something new and would never turn down an opportunity to do so.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can prepare and share a delicious meal at the very least, I am also open to shooting portraits with them, perhaps filming a short.

Countries I’ve Visited

Botswana, Czech Republic, Denmark, Estonia, Italy, Lesotho, Malawi, Mozambique, Namibia, Swaziland, Sweden, United Kingdom, Zimbabwe

Countries I’ve Lived In
