Overview
About Me
I am an English teacher and teacher-trainer, currently enjoying an 8-month sabbatical. I have spent 5 weeks in Central America, 3 months volunteering in Haiti and have 6 weeks in South America before heading to New Zealand and Australia.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I think it's really nice to spend time with 'locals' when visiting a country. It's the best way to understand a place. I love meeting new people and making new friends.
Interests
I love reading, writing, discovering new places, watching football and music (especially live music at gigs/concerts, or dancing to it).
Music, Movies, and Books
I like an eclectic mix of books, films and music. I love reading and enjoy anything from classic literary fiction to a footballer's autobiography. Equally with music, I love music from the sixties like The Beatles, I enjoy listening to acoustic guitar, but I am loving Latino pop and Reggaeton.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Asking for this sabbatical is probably the most radical thing I've done and I've enjoyed my travel experiences so far - the highlight was probably the volcano hike in Guatemala where I loved watching the neighbouring volcano erupting.
Teach, Learn, Share
I'm not sure what I can offer to teach... English lessons maybe? Once I'm back home, I will have my cute flat with a spare room half an hour (by train) outside central London to offer.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Oh I don't know... a chance to practise English? Happy to muck in with cooking etc.
