About Me

Hi there, I'm Alex, an easygoing, warm and adaptable guy who likes nothing more than to meet new people, and learn from them through their amazing stories. I love to listen to what others have to offer, whilst giving my own take on life, and hope to begin a new chapter of friendship and discovery thanks to the exciting platform provided by Couchsurfing.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Although I'm new to the Couchsurfing community I have heard that it is one of the best ways to meet new people and learn about other cultures in a uniquely authentic experience, which I have found to be one of the greatest pleasures in life.

I also have upcoming trips planned to Warsaw and Budapest as part of the Angloville programme teaching English abroad so thought what better time than now to start a similar journey with Couchsurfing.

Music, Movies, and Books

Whilst I may not have a vast repertoire of music knowledge I do enjoy almost all kinds of music, especially the typical genres I have grown up with over the past couple of decades in the UK and Italy.

Movie-wise I generally like fairly typical American films and TV series of different genres, but like to expand my horizons with alternative types of films and series, especially Japanese anime, which has been a lifetime love of mine.

In terms of reading, again I am open to all genres though my favourites are fiction, history, science, classics, and philosophy as I find that in reading, as in all walks of life, dabbling with diversity is the best way of becoming cultured.

I hope to be able to explore my interests and yours further with you in person.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My two greatest experiences in life have been a ten day trip to Japan several years ago, which was truly breathtaking and spurred my love for the country so much so that I plan to return there to live in the near future.

And secondly my year abroad studying at universities in France and Italy whilst undertaking my degree in the UK. This also proved to be an unforgettable time shared with people who helped make so, in addition to helping me realise my interest in exploring new places and constantly learning new things.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can and will gladly teach what I know about languages and culture related to the places I have been, as well as sharing my experiences growing up in a bilingual English and Italian household, and would love learn similar things about other countries.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I can share my knowledge regarding the countries I know and most of all my friendly personality with fellow travel enthusiasts as we create lasting memories together.
