Ideally, I'd like to work in the Middle East, assisting in peacebuilding after the conflict in Syria-Iraq has wound up, or perhaps in an NGO or government office.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Extremely eclectic, I loathe most things post-2000. I like a bit of what you could say are the greatest hits of the 60s-90s, e.g. The Beatles, Queen. Also have a love of film soundtracks, possibly because I like how it can help vividly tell a story, as well as classical music.

Movies: Jurassic Park, Star Wars, LotR, The Dark Knight, The Godfather, Inception, Invictus, The Power of One, Lawrence of Arabia, Harry Potter, Jaws, Indiana Jones, The Lion King, The Little Mermaid, Terminator, Alien. Essentially anything by Spielberg, Lucas, Boyle, Tarantino, Nolan, Scott, or Kubrick. Also foreign films, e.g. Mongol, Son of Saul.

Books: Nineteen Eighty-Four, Christopher Hitchens, Ben Elton, history in particular (e.g. Empire of the Mughals), but effectively all genres, fictional and non-fictional.
