About Me

I just finished up my bachelor's degree in Psychology at ISU. I plan on teaching religion at the secondary and post-secondary levels in LDS seminaries and institutes, but very open minded to all belief systems! My mother is from Idaho and my father is from Bolivia. Of the 5 kids they had, I got infected with the travel bug :). I love it, I love different cultures, I love meeting new people. Living in Idaho we have access here to amazing outdoor experiences. I love hiking, boating, road and mountain biking, and am an avid skier. I am an absolute adrenaline junkie, so anything to get my fix as far as that goes I seek out. I also am a huge fan of music, musicals, and the arts in general.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I love adventure and am absolutely addicted to traveling. I'm from a small town (about 60,000), but have loved the times I have visited and lived in big cities as well. I also love to meet people and learn about other cultures (even if that culture is the same language and country; I think there can be many subcultures within that)

Music, Movies, and Books

I love a huge variety of music, the list would be a lot shorter to put what I don't like. I grew up in a musical family and, while I'm not the most talented musician, I consider myself an expert at listening to music. If you have a guitar or piano I'll accompany you if you sing haha. About half of my library are songs in Spanish, though.
Favorite band: Walk off the Earth

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I lived for a couple of months on the Galapagos Islands! I'll have to say, that was a pretty incredible experience.

Teach, Learn, Share

I am a strong believer in respect. I have opinions and a core set of beliefs that drive my behaviors and everyday actions. However, I recognize that others may value different things. As long as there isn't an infringement of rights, I think that we should all share with each other so as to learn and grow, without ever demeaning another person. I'd love to talk about why I live the way I do and hear about you as well!
