About Me

Kia Ora,

I am living in Scotland and managing to travel around Europe in my spare time, and after hosting CS's in my hometown of Christchurch NZ, I would love to come and stay with you!

I do yoga, love to walk/jog and have a zest for great conversation, food, books, and sunshine.

I am fond of red wine of any description, and like my people on the slightly kooky side.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am a New Zealand native and have studied and worked there my whole life. Hence my escape to Europe.

I am on couchsurfing for a bed (obviously), but local people are way more interesting than staying in a hostel or hotel! You find hidden gems in a city, and make friends for life. Not to mention excellent conversation.

Interests

Goodness.. I like wild elemental weather and roaring fires.
Good literature.
Walking and soaking in the atmosphere of a place.
Jazz and red wine
Dancing until my feet drop
Writing when the muse calls

... Filling in these sections feels like a dating website (*Disclaimer: I have never been on a dating website)

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Electronic Music, Classics from the 60s and 70's and candy saturated pop from the 80's and 90s. David Bowie is a fav. As is Leonard Cohen. For dancing, any kind of glitch or tech or house floats my boat. Golden Oldies always welcome.

Movies: Casablanca, When Harry Met Sally, Pulp Fiction, Anything by Guy Richie, Watchmen and The Painted Veil. To many damn movies to choose from.

I cannot choose a single favorite book.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I was almost traded in for a Persian rug by my ex boyfriend after he lost a game of backgammon in Turkey.. that was interesting.

Teach, Learn, Share

I think that you learn things/lessons from any person you encounter. These lessons are often unintentional
