I love people, new experiences, and learning about different cultures - and Squash! (the sport - the vegetable is also decent)

I graduated from engineering in May 2014 and decided to defer my Job offer for a year to travel the world and discover myself. My trip began in China, and I traveled throughout south-east Asia, eastern Africa, and India.

I volunteered in an orphanage in Tazania (East-Africa) for 4 months. I learned to be a parent to many incredible, appreciative, and beautiful children whom taught me so much about myself. During my days while the children were off at school, I taught Math and Science at a local secondary school. I discovered a passion for teaching in myself and love for children and learning.

The last country I visited on my trip was India. Here I discovered my spirituality: attending a 10 day Vipassana mediation course to seek the truth in myself that I desperately wanted to find. I found it and I want to share it with everyone; the happiness and joy I experienced. Since then I've done another Vipassana in Alberta and do yoga on a regular basis :)

I am now working at Shell Canada in downtown Calgary as an Engineer. I am always up for any new experience and love to task travel.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I want to meet the people living in the areas I travel and host people from those different places. People travel for different reasons: pictures, to do things, food, culture ect... I travel for the people I meet. Everyone is so different, interesting, and special. you learn so much just talking to them.

My couch is always open to visitors :)
