Overview
About Me
I grew up in a UK armed forces family and so was exposed to travelling around and never staying in place for too long from a very young age. The majority of my childhood was spent in various places around the UK however I also spent some time in Germany. Having said this, I feel closest to home when I'm in the west country around Bristol and Bath. I studied at the university of Worcester, UK, to obtain my Bsc(hons) degree in Human Biology and now work in the biomedical research labs at the University of Bristol. I love travelling as much of the world as possible and I have spent time on a university exchange semester in Quebec, Canada which was a fantastic experience! Whatever I do or wherever I end up in the future I hope to meet some fun, exciting people along the way ☺
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
To meet new people and make new friends that I can share experiences with and also where possible learn from and teach new things. I'm currently trying to develop my language skills and have made a lot of progress with french however would love to have someone with whom to practice with on a regular bases so that I can feel more confident with it and move on to learning other languages.

Music, Movies, and Books
Music tastes vary with each week, if I like the sound of it, it's good enough for me, really not fussy on genre. Having said that, my heart probably belongs to the more rock/metal side of the spectrum. Movies & books, again not fussy! I do have a very large Terry Pratchett collection, but also like other things such as Lee Child, and George R. R. Martin's Game of Thrones books. I have a soft spot for the Harry Potter books too, and can often be found on long car journeys listening to the audio books read by Stephen Fry to pass the time!
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Traveling to Tromsø in Norway to see the northern lights, La Tomatina in Spain, multiple festivals around Europe, solo travel around Europe, uni exchange in Canada..... too many to pick one!
Teach, Learn, Share
I'd be very interested in finding someone to practice languages with and generally finding a friend to spend some good times with. I've picked up lots of usefull/less knowledge over the years which I'm sure I could pass on to anyone. I'd be happy to help anyone who wishes to improve their English also.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Currently in a house share in Bristol so not suitable for hosting guests at the moment unfortunately. Always up for meeting new people and showing them around the city though!
