Overview
About Me
Hey! I'm a freelancer who has worked with clients all around the globe to provide them with creative writing services. One factor in me enjoying cross-cultural experiences!
Additionally, I'm keen on *proper* digital marketing and have launched several successful websites on my own. 9-to-5 grind wasn't my thing, so I had to find a way to skirt around it. :)
I've also spent 6 years in Japan to do my MBA, a part of a PhD and generally have a myriad of polar opposite cultural experiences to my own background. It was fun while it lasted, though it ended up being not really my place.
PHILOSOPHY IN A NUTSHELL
Embrace the things that happen to you; cherish them, remember them, reflect on them.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I have accommodated several people the old-school way without platforms such as CS. I've been accommodated too, and I've had only pleasant experiences all around.
Interests
Literature (magical realism; fantasy; crime fiction), music (I switch between genres, but mostly metalcore, metal, new-age, j-rock and electronica), linguistics, the transformative power of social innovation initiatives. Very fond of wildlife and its preservation.

Music, Movies, and Books
"Dance dance dance"; "The Wind-Up Bird Chronicles" and almost all of Haruki Murakami's stuff. Everything by Paul Auster or Guy Gavriel Kay, by Steven Erikson or John Connolly. A lot of authors, really - we can discuss favorites and impressions!
I'm not that well-versed with movies, but I do like 'Dead Poets' Society', 'Ghost in the Shell', all of BBC's 'Planet Earth' documentaries and others.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I did jump off a 5 meter cliff in the sea even though I can't swim.
Probably also having spent 6 years in Japan which is a culture completely different than my own.
Teach, Learn, Share
If you need music recommendations across *almost* every genre, I'd be glad to discuss and give you some pointers. If you're interested in linguistics - Cyrillic alphabet or Japanese, for example, we can talk about that.
Same applies to literature, I enjoy discussing authors and ideas, regardless of genre.
What I Can Share with Hosts
A good laugh; a serious conversation; a willingness to hear you out on whatever is on your mind. I'm flexible and can adapt to whatever mood you have on the day we meet.
