Overview
About Me
Hello there! I am a twenty-something Quebecer (or French Canadian, if you prefer) who works as content creator in Television in Montreal. I used to work as a teacher for Apple. I'm a big fan of pedagogy and different teaching techniques.
I love, enjoy and make many forms of arts and media. I draw, make videos and write... and I'm a little bit of a geek! (No seriously, you'll find tons of Star Wars legos, Doctor who books and Harry Potter wands all over the appartment!)
I love learning new things, and teaching things. I love hearing about other people stories and cultures, and sharing mine. I am a bit shy, so I can appear distant and awkward at first, but I really do enjoy meeting new people and making new friends !
PHILOSOPHY
Always assume good intent in people.
I've been heartbroken by friend when I was younger, and since then, it's been hard for me to trust friends and partners. I've made a lot of progress and I think it is really important to follow that simple guideline. There is nothing worse than presuming the intentions of someone.
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I'm quite new to the experience. I was hosted by a bunch of nice people in my latest trip to Germany and I'm immensely grateful! I don't know yet what to expect as a host!
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I do love to travel time to time (haven't always got the time) and I mostly do it alone. That can be nice, but I get lonely very quickly.
I was using AirBNB before, because the philosophy was kind of similar to the couchsurfing one. Except since you were paying, you could expect a nice bed and room... However, my experience has disappointed me. Even if people are super nice, most of them don't share! They treat the experience as an hotel one. "Ok here's your room, I hope you have a nice stay! Bye!" I'd rather sleep on a broken couch with no AC and meet new people, rather than being in a nice room but being alone...

Music, Movies, and Books
TV.
Me and my boyfriend work in the TV industry (actually, he is still studying it) so we watch a lot of TV shows. If you want to learn French, just sit with us on the couch and watch some good quebec tv!
MOVIES (directors)
Wes Anderson (Budapest Hotel, wasn't that GORGEOUS?), Quentin Tarantino (Pulp Fiction, of course), Almadovar (El Piel que Habito), Jean-Marc Vallé (Café de Flore)...
MUSIC
Mostly alternative. Some pop, rock and sometimes ... erm... broadway musicals.... and of course Quebec singer and bands.
The Fratellis, Alt-J, Joe Brooks, Jill Barber, Nena, Miss Li, Groenland, Coeur de Pirate, 3 Gars su'l sofa...
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I've made two videos that went viral. That's sort of cool, I guess?
And I've finished university! So does that mean I'm an adult now? NOOO I DON'T WANT TO BE AN ADULT!!!! EEWW
Teach, Learn, Share
I can cook for you! And I'd love to learn new vegetarian recipes. I am not vegetarian myself, but I noticed a lot of couch surfers are. I don't eat enough vegetables so I think it'd be something great to take back from my travels.
I can help you with French or English. Maybe you can help me with my German, and share stories of your travel. I want to get to know you :)
What I Can Share with Hosts
I can share with you the little known culture of Quebecers (French canadians. Let me just tell you; South Park got it WRONG! :P)
