My first couchsurfing experience was in France, when I relied on the goodness of strangers to lodge me and show me their country. It was an incredible experience, and I want to extend the same opportunity to those visiting New York.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Music: almost every genre, but rock - classic, punk, and metal - is first among equals.

Books: some favorites include Brave New World, 1984, All Quiet on the Western Front, the Song of Ice and Fire series, and the works of H.P. Lovecraft.

Movies: Peter Jackson's The Lord of the Rings are my favorites. Drive, 13 Assassins, and Mad Max: Fury Road follow.

Visited the Golden Temple at night in Amritsar, India. They light it up, and it's surrounded by a man-made lake, so the sight is breathtaking.

I'm excited to show people around New York, Americans or foreigners. Discussing the politics and history of other lands is fun and eye-opening. And I always want to practice my French.
