About Me
Looking to host travelers and join meet-ups! Benefited from Couchsurfing as a surfer immensely in Europe and now I’d like to host now that I have an apartment in DC.
Friendly and adventurous, like most people here. Very active - I like yoga, slacklining, concerts, comedy, theater, movies, cooking (vegan), hiking/camping, and biking. I know a lot about good DC spots and am always learning more about the city!
Went to university near Washington, DC, but I am originally from Massachusetts. Graduated with bachelors in May, 2017 having studied political science, philosophy, economics (PPE) and statistics.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Experiencing other cultures and traveling has always been a family tradition. My family had hosted 3 Rotary Youth Exchange Students (from Slovakia, Brasil, and Bosnia and Herzegovina). I was a Rotary Youth Exchange Student in Chile (Concepcion area) in 2011-2012. My Spanish is still pretty good! I first heard about couchsurfing while there.
With couchsurfing I hope to meet more locals and have a richer traveling experience. Also what's not to love about having friends all over the world?!

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Sang in a 500+ choir at Carnegie Hall in New York City.
Teach, Learn, Share
Teach - I do have some bizarre hobbies such as slacklining, unicycling, frisbee, hacky sack, ping pong, also have a passion for tea and coffee
Learn - I'd like to become a better dancer, cook, and public speaker.
Share - Perspective of an exchange student in Chile, current student of politics and consumer of media, excited to try new foods and drinks, like exchanging stories, philosophies, and recommendations. Let's hike, go clubbing, and everything in between
What I Can Share with Hosts
My story, suggestions for traveling in the US, a place to stay if they want to travel to Washington DC, a positive and appreciative attitude (of course willing to help with cooking/dishes!) and excitement to learn about you!
