We are a British couple aged 20 (Alex) and 18 (Merry), who have travelled together and separately before, last year we spent four months backpacking around Asia together. After staying in a mixture of hostels and hotels when previously travelling, we heard about couchsurfing and thought it sounded perfect for us! We are planning on spending a month interrailing, going to Switzerland, Austria and Slovenia before returning home for university and college. We both have a love for the outdoors and nature in general, as well as both having a strong passion for politics and environmental issues, vegetarian/vegan.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

To meet new people and experience more local culture, and to have a more genuine experience of each place we visit!

Nature, wildlife, photography, climbing, hiking, any outdoor and adventurous activities!

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: Pretty much everything such as; The Rolling Stones, The Eagles, alt-j, Coldplay, Tom Odell, Bring Me the Horizon, Jack Johnson etc.

Movies: a wide variety, with some of our favourites being; Pulp fiction, batman trilogy, Lord of the rings trilogy, 22 jump street, Monty Python and lots of documentaries etc.

TV shows: Game of thrones, the walking dead, Louis Theroux, house of cards etc

Books: Shantaram, Sophie's world, marching powder, the hobbit, the Lord of the rings trilogy, a song of ice and fire, the name of the wind trilogy and lots of natural history books
