Hello, I just got back from backpacking in Canada. It was really beautiful and a great experience lugging a forty pound pack up and down the mountains! I am from Billings, Montana and moved to East Texas for my degree in engineering. With my university I was able to go to Jordan once, Israel twice, Russia, and Greece.

To be honest I love learning anything practical, applicable, and useful.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I am new to this but am looking forward to becoming a great part of this community. I am planning on quitting my job and traveling for a year in eight months or so with some friends from my University.

Music, Movies, and Books

Parks and Rec is one of my favorite TV shows. Benedict Cumberbatch is an awesome sherlock holmes. I like 30 rock, That's 70 Show, American Dad, and The simpsons.
My favorite movie is V for Vendetta. I like epic action films, and comedy films if I am in the mood. I don't like horror movies. I like foreign films, and really like the Ong Bak series.

I like reading applicable non fiction like the intelligent investor and security analysis. As far as fiction goes I really like The Chronicles of Narnia.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I have soloed an airplane.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can teach and discuss science technology engineering and mathematics; also how to create a vodka distillery. I am always willing to learn anything I can put to use. I can share my unique experience and outlook on life.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I like to be serious and talk about existential questions if need be or we can take some shots of fireball or preferably drink vodka!
