ABOUT ME
Hi friends!
Been a long, long delayed and set-backed plan to make it to South America, but well-waited as I used that time to host couchsurfers from upwards of a dozen different countries. The time is here, Colombia will be my gateway but also my next new home for some months to come before I resume my journey south.
CURRENT MISSION
I don't work as a bartender, I am a bartender and with a conflict and an ambition in his life. I am among those in the service industry that have reached the top of their careers, filled with knowledge, my studies of Mixology are not just institutional but personal as well, I am forever expanding my legacy drinks. Forever filling my journal with my studies of spirits, botanicals and how the current legacy I am working on needs to be adjusted. Forever reading a new bar book. I have a recession-proof career of 10 years and it is also international so with greater motivation and resolve.
The American bar scene is mediocre at best, I feel I've learned as much as I could have while self-educating myself and it is now time to move on to the more advanced and prestigious scenes of the industry found elsewhere in the Americas and attend a few mixology schools.
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I am Couchsurfing to build a positive standing in this community as well as my own wherever I may be. To learn from others and to teach to others.
Interests
All things music:
My instruments hang from my backpack wherever I may be. I play didgeridoo and bodhran as well as sing. Folk, baroque and Celtic are my favorite to play and sing, and when it comes to listening it goes far and wide.
Food and Drinks:
I'm always looking for that one cafe I can come in at opening with the laptop for breakfast and stay till it's time for dinner and beer and eventually close the place at the end of the night.

Music, Movies, and Books
A good collection of knowledge have always been my favorites, if it looks good on my TV screen, I'll hit "enter", if the price is right or the synopsis looks good on the kindle I'll tap "buy" on my tablet.
Currently going heavy on a TV show called "Booze Traveler"
Reading a book called "The Drunken Botanist" by Amy Stewart
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Singing in weird or dead languages. I still do!
Teach, Learn, Share
- One thing I've learned in all my travels, your friends are all around you, you just need to talk to them.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Knowledge!
This includes if you're going somewhere I've already been to, I'll be happy to recall my memories and tell you about it to my clearest memories.
Stories!
I want to hear where you've been and compare traveling experiences.
Gratitude!
You're doing me a favor, the least I can do is bring a small gift with me and leave you an awesome review!
- Over 21? Then I will make you the best cocktail(s) you've had, Like in your life!
- I will also teach you how to make them if Mixology falls within your field of interest =)
