Hola! I'm Alex, a 29 year old freelance photographer of people and places (www.FostersFolio.co.uk). I also produce hip-hop music and perform around the world with a London based group called Two Sixty Six (www.TwoSixtySix.co.uk).

In a previous life I spent 6 years working as a creative strategist at two independent creative ad agencies in Soho, central London.

I like talking to new people especially when they have different perspectives to my own. I like to collaborate with other creative types especially when their styles and approaches differ to my own. I like visiting places that have different customs and cultures to those I'm used to. I basically like exposing myself to anything new.

I love nature and wish I was doing more to help preserve it for future generations to enjoy. I hate the way human greed seems to be the root of many of today's problems and I tend to get on well with people who value experiences, feelings and knowledge over the possession of materialistic things.

I'm an honest guy who is striving to spend as much of my time on this incredible planet doing the things I love with and for the people I love.

Musik, Filme und Bücher

Music.. So I produce predominantly hip-hop beats and am particularly getting into more lo-fi sounds at the moment. I use a Roland SP 404 sx sampler as a production tool and also for live sets. You can listen to some of my work here: www.soundcloud.com/fosterbeats

In terms of listening to music, I've really got into reggae and dub lately. Been going through all the old Studio One and Trojan Records releases. I'm a big fan of analogue sounds particularly tape and vinyl over digital.

Movies... I like digging a bit deeper than what's on at the cinema. I like seeing what has been nominated at recent awards and will give anything with good reviews a watch. I particularly like foreign films as they always seem to have interesting takes on things or introduce you to a completely different way of looking or understanding something. I find films that force you to question something or interpret it differently pretty fulfilling. I also really like documentaries and will often prefer to watch a doco over a film or series.

Some favourite recent watches include.. Tales of Light, Wild Japan, Abstract Series, CitizenFour, Samsara, How Samurai Swords are made, Old Boy, The Arrival, Carlito's Way, Everybody Wants Some, 12 Angry Men and Life Is Beautiful.
