Hello everyone. My name is Alex Franceschi (that's Fran-ces-chi). I'm a laid back, easy going guy. I have many hobbies. My profession is a test engineer, but I'm an avid race car driver/drifter, salsa dancer and now world traveler. On January 1st 2016 I embarked on a year long travel journey around South America and Europe. I'm currently on that journey now.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I recently joined couch surfing in hopes of meeting new travelers and of course save a little money.

Interests

Travel, salsa dancing, a Cuba Libre before I hit the dance floor, anything related to cars, motorcycles and bicycles, road trips, hiking, tasting new foods, a good cold beer or wine accompanied with good conversation.

Music, Movies, and Books

Music: west coast hip hop, any good hip hop really, jazz, classic r&b, classics, Latin music, reggae and much more.
Books: The Alchemist, The Celestine Prophecy, The Brief Wondrous Life of Oscar Wao
Movies: all kinds but I love sci fi, space, cars, thrillers and the super hero stuff.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Taking a year to travel the world, salsa dance in Japan speaking no Japanese except the universal language of dance, bungee jumping in new zealand, how can I pick just one. There's so much in this life that's amazing!

What I Can Share with Hosts

Very clean and orderly person. Always strive to return things in as good or better condition. I'm a bit of a handy man so if I see something that needs fixing I'll fix it. I'm also a good mechanic with cars and bicycles. So I can help with any of those.
