I am a 20-year-old german guy currently studying international relations at the University of Erfurt. In my free time, I sing in a band, play guitar and piano. Besides that I enjoy the three p´s in live: philosophy, politics, and parties. I am the leader of the local Amnesty International group and emphasize voluntary engagement. I am a big fan of Christopher McCandless and my life credo can be summarized by Jack London:

I would rather be ashes than dust. I would rather that my spark should burn out
in a brilliant blaze than it should be stifled by dry-rot. I would rather be a superb meteor, every atom of me in magnificent glow, than a sleepy and permanent planet. The function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days trying to prolong them. I shall use my time.

I want to give this world a little bit back.

Oh- and I love dogs and pandas, they are the best.

Por qué estoy en Couchsurfing

I am traveling a lot and there is always a voice in my head calling my to the wild and unknown- and I want to follow this voice to new places and people to fall in love with.

Right now I am working in a think-tank in DC (Wilson Center) and am writing my BA-thesis. After that I am gonna backpack two weeks through the US-east-coast and after that 5 days through Iceland, before I start my exchange semester in St. Petersburg.

Intereses

I am singing in a band in Germany and enjoy playing street music to collect money for the war-torn places in this world. Besides that, I love to write, to read, to talk about the universe and the purpose of our being, to go partying, to meet new people, hear their story and tell mine.
