CURRENT MISSION
Learning about different people, cultures, countries and discovering the beauty of our planet!
ABOUT ME
Hello Couchsurfers, I'm 20 years old and grew up in Siegen. Siegen is a town in the west of Germany and about 110.000 people are living there. I'm an open-minded and very interested person.
I finished school and got my general qualification for university entrance in summer 2009. My favourite and best subjects were sports, biology and especially geography.
In Germany young men have the choice between a military and a civilian service. I reject any kind of violence and so I decided to do a civilian service and support a sixty-year-old paraplegic man who sits in a wheelchair and needed my daily assistance to be able to live and work independently as far as possible. I really liked the cooperation with him because he is a very humorous, intelligent, eloquent and helpful person.
After I had finished my responsible task I took part in the Pangaea Expedition of the well known adventurer Mike Horn who circled around the world along the equator on his own and without any motorized vehicles, for example. He has built up a project for young adults and wants to bring them to the most beautiful places on our planet. I applied and participated in one of the expeditions and followed his team and other youth from all over the world to the highest mountains and longest glaciers on earth in Pakistan!
I'm currently traveling through the south-east of Europe by train together with a friend before I'll study Geography at university in October.
PHILOSOPHY

Why I’m on Couchsurfing
COUCHSURFING EXPERIENCE
I heard about CouchSurfing few weeks ago. One of my friends told me about it and I was directly interested in the CS Project! Unfortunately I cannot offer to host people at the moment but I hope it will be possible when I'll go to university in October and have my own flat.
Now I'm looking forward to getting to know many many CS'ers during my summer tour through the Balcans together with a friend!
Interests
I do a lot of sports. One of my greatest passions is to play football. I play in a football team and have training three times a week and a match almost every weekend. The team sport is so important for me because you can only be successful and win matches when you help one another and everyone tries to give his best. Apart from that football and other team sports can help to bring young adults from different countries together.
In my leisure I spend a lot of time in nature. There I enjoy the fresh air, the calm and the beauty of our environment, all these things you often miss in big towns. When I do not have football training I also do a lot of sports outside. I like mountain biking, jogging, skiing, hiking, climbing and swimming.
Apart from that I read some journals (my favourites are âLe Monde Diplomatiqueâ and âNational Geographicâ) and books, particularly about foreign people, cultures and countries because you cannot visit every region on earth physically but in your mind.
I also like to travel and to take part in adventures of course. :)
