Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I think couch surfing could be the best and most authentic way to travel if you're venturing off on your own. I want to learn something valuable every time I travel, I think it is what makes traveling so worth it, and having real experiences with real people will surely guarantee this.

Interests

I like beer, wine, ice cream, bicycles, costume parties, Mexican food, shaved heads, baby hippos, the color blue, scarfs, sparkles, summertime, indian food, star trek & scifi, yoga, meditation, dancing, cozy socks, cheese, chocolate, public parks, androgyny, talking about my goddamn freedom (haha), and dogs.
My favorite thing to do while traveling is to try new food. Not only the local cuisine, but also any other kind of food that I may not have access to at home. The first time I had Ethiopian food and traditional Chinese noodles I was in Paris, the first time I had kebab I was in Amsterdam, the first time I had real Chinese desserts I was in Toronto, etc. It is always an adventure.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

Last summer I, with the help of two other fantastic people, organized Buffalo's first World Naked Bike Ride that attracted 300+ inspiring cyclists.

Teach, Learn, Share

I can french braid people's hair (if it's long enough) or give a decent undercut if you need a trim or just want something different.
I can teach some felting techniques or maybe give some french lessons, but I am still a beginner myself.

What I Can Share with Hosts

I would be happy to help cook, clean, or help out with any handy work I can. I can be pretty resourceful when it comes to fixing things. I get a strange enjoyment out of cleaning out and reorganizing cupboards and fridges..
