Hello there
My name is Alex and I live in Hamburg, Germany, studying Sinology as my major. I spent a semester abroad in Chengdu, China in 2023-24 and spent some time travelling till mid April 24 in China and southeast Asia.
I'm always quite curious to see other places and learn about cultures and people, see new beautiful natural scenery and eat good food!

I consider myself as nonbinary = no particular gender and if I like a person, I like them for who they are, no matter what gender. That doesn't mean though that I am open for anything, quite the contrary.
Even though this is not something that defines me as a person, I'd like to clear that up to avoid awkward situations.
What I believe is that a person's personality is like a rainbow, with lots of different colours. Even though we might not like every colour, we have to accept every one, in ourselves and in others. So I value respect above everything else.

Another point is that because I still live together with my family I can't offer a place to sleep. But I still would be excited to meet up!

I'm into anime and mangas and I like Fantasy and Sci-fi for movies and books. I'm into really well made isekai and my absolute favourite novel/manhwa is Omniscient Reader Viewpoint by Sing Shong.

And as long it is qualitatively good, non mainstream music, I like almost every genre.
But a special place in my heart has Chinese and Korean Indie music, K-Pop, classic, the 50s to 80s (e.g. Michael Jackson, Bee Gees, Pink Floyd, Queen, Simon and Garfunkel, Deep Purple, Jimi Hendrix) and I also listen to some Post-grunge like Nirvana, Our Last Night, Shinedown

I love languages and learning new things so I know bits and pieces in various fields which I can share with you! I can take interest in every kind of area, be it culture, languages, science, politics, arts,... - so I'll also be always a good listener. :D

If you are eager, I also can teach you some German or basics for instruments like piano and singing cuz I really love music, singing and playing instruments❤🎶🎤🎧 (doesn't automatically mean I'm good in playing them though :D)

Also I can cook German cuisine for you if I get all the ingredients around your place! I cook mostly east and southeast Asian inspired meals though, but I'm a very fast learner with cooking!
