Overview
About Me
Hi! I’m a friendly and easy-going person based in the UK. I work in IT and enjoy anything tech-related, from networks and gadgets to helping people solve problems. I recently started my own IT support business, which keeps me busy but also lets me meet people from all walks of life.
I enjoy travelling at a relaxed pace, discovering local neighbourhoods, beaches, and simple, authentic food spots rather than tourist traps. I’m more into good conversation, shared meals, and learning about everyday life in different places than ticking off landmarks.
I’m respectful, clean, and mindful of personal space, whether I’m hosting or surfing. I really appreciate cultural exchange and enjoy hearing people’s stories and experiences. I’m happy to hang out, explore together, or give you space if you prefer — I adapt easily.
Looking forward to meeting open-minded people and creating genuine connections along the way 🙂
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I was one of the early people on Couchsurfing and originally joined to host travellers. After many years, I simply forgot that I even had a Couchsurfing account 😄 — and later rediscovered it while reflecting on past travels.
Since then, life has taken me on quite a journey — from Sri Lanka to the Maldives, and now to London, UK. I’m now refreshing my profile to reconnect with the Couchsurfing community, meet new people, and enjoy genuine cultural exchange again.
As you can see, my references go all the way back to 2016 — proof that I’ve been around Couchsurfing for a long time, even if I’m just getting active again. Looking forward to new connections and shared experiences!
Interests
I’m interested in technology and networking (it’s both my work and a hobby), but outside of that I really enjoy travelling, exploring new places, and experiencing local culture. I like relaxed trips — walking around neighbourhoods, finding good beaches, local food spots, and places that locals actually go to.
I enjoy meaningful conversations, sharing travel stories, and learning about different cultures and lifestyles. I’m also interested in cars, road trips, and spontaneous plans when travelling. Music, good food, and simple social moments are things I value a lot.
I’m not a party animal, but I enjoy socialising, meeting new people, and spending time with good company. Whether it’s exploring together, grabbing a coffee, or just chatting at home, I’m easy-going and adaptable.

Music, Movies, and Books
I enjoy a mix of music depending on the mood, especially chilled tracks and international sounds. I like movies based on true stories, documentaries, action, and thought-provoking films. I mostly read non-fiction — self-development, business, technology, and travel-related books.
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
I used to work across many paradise islands in the Maldives as a Hospitality IT Manager, supporting luxury resorts in some of the most beautiful places in the world. Even today, friends still ask me why I chose to leave the Maldives and move to the UK — and honestly, it was about new challenges, growth, and experiencing a completely different way of life.
