I've recently been introduced to Couchsurfing, and I'm excited to begin exploring this and meeting up with fellow travellers from across the globe, so thanks for having me here.

A little about me, I have recently left my job where I was project managing a youth development programme which involved inspiring young people to challenge themselves through outdoor adventure activities. When not working, you can also find me hiking mountains, swimming in lakes, or climbing at bouldering walls.

Through travel, I love to explore new cultures, whether that be food, music, film, literature, history and so on. On the whole I prefer evenings socialising with food and drink over partying but can be convinced 😁

I'll be travelling the length of India (north to south) from October to January 2024 before continuing my trip across to Vietnam... open to what the world presents beyond this.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

As mentioned earlier, I have recently been introduced to Couchsurfing by a friend who has used it extensively, and I think it sounds fantastic.

As much as I love meeting people through hostels and hotels, I'd love to spend time sharing experiences with locals in the countries I visit to really get to know areas better. I feel like it will allow more depth of relationship to develop and a deeper understanding of the society and cultures of each place.

Interests

As you can see, my list of interests is quite long and highlights my fascination with everything. I do not like to draw boundaries on what I like and don't like, but to allow myself to explore new ideas and new activities.

I've climbed up to Anapurna Base Camp in Nepal.

I have seen the Northern Lights in Iceland - that was special.

Teach, Learn, Share

If you are someone who is looking to develop your English language skills, then this is something I can help teach. I have recently completed an English teaching qualification.

If you are keen on something not so productive, I'm always keen to share music with hosts. I love exchanging music with people and playing instruments if you have them available. (I mainly play the Piano).

What I Can Share with Hosts

I tend to enjoy my own company, so I'm pretty sure you will enjoy having me around too, ha ha. But in all honesty, I have a passion for people, so I'm excited to meet people whilst on my travels.

If you don't feel like spending all the time together, please don't worry. I'm very content with doing my own thing for a period of time.
