Hi! I'm Alex. I am 23 years old and recently moved to Austin, TX from Brooklyn, NY. I graduated from college with a bachelor's in English Literature and concentration in Journalism. A week after graduation, I moved to New York City without a job (don't recommend it unless you are prepared to battle cockroaches and mice!) to pursue a career in writing. I ended up at an academic publishing company in their Editorial dept. and I have now been there for over a year!

I'm was recently accepted into the Graduate Program at St. Edward's University to continue my Liberal Arts education in which I will be focusing on International Business.

I love to travel and meet new people! I had the amazing opportunity to travel extensively around Europe for 4 months when I was in college, but I never got the chance to travel much around the United States. There are so many environments, landmarks, cultures, and good eats in the U.S. and my goal is to visit as many places as I can this year! So far, I've made the big move from Brooklyn, NY (after living there for over a year) to Austin, TX the magical land of great live music and tacos. I traveled to Portland, OR TWICE this summer. My next stops are Seattle, WA and Phoenix, AZ.

I love riding my bike around downtown Austin, vintage shopping and reading a good book series.

Most of all, I love to EAT. Whether it's takeout, a taco truck, a drive thru, a fancy restaurant, I love all things foodie. What I look forward to most during the week are my Sunday night cooking expeditions. Last week, I made Coq au vin, a french stew. If you have any recipe suggestions, I'm all ears!

I ran a marathon when I was 20 years old and am currently training for my second marathon which I'm scheduled to run in the Spring.
