About Me

CURRENT MISSION

To become an expatriate...ASAP!

ABOUT ME

Well, it's rather hard to describe oneself in just a few words, but I will give it a shot and try to be brief...

I was born in Los Angeles, CA, and have lived here for most of my life. I left for 4 years to live in NYC for college, and that was a wonderful experience. Now I'm back in LA, and I am looking to travel as much as my funds will allow in order to try and really understand what it means to be a human being living in harmony with others.
*******

Alright, enough with that lackluster, generic stuff. Let's get down to the real deal. If you are a nocturnal creature, like rock n roll, underground art and culture, good booze, great food and general mayhem, I'm sure we'll get along just fine! I am quite fond of good conversationalists with a quick humor, intellect, and a hunger to learn and feel things in their totality.

I am open-minded (the most overused term on couchsurfing profiles, but true nonetheless), creative (also known as slightly weird), interesting/interested, fun, hilarious (clearly), outgoing, and excited to embrace new cultures and new ways of being.

PHILOSOPHY

All I know is that I know nothing. Be humble.

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

Music, Movies, and Books

Music is a true passion of mine. I like many different types of music, but tend to like hard and psychedelic rock the best. Some of my favorite bands include: Black Sabbath, Black Mountain, Pentagram, Sleepy Sun, Queens of the Stone Age, Kyuss, Electric Wizard, (the) Melvins, Pelican, Helmet, Roky Erickson, The Black Angels, The Black Keys, Led Zeppelin, The Doors, Blonde Redhead, etc. This list could go on for eternity.
I am also a big fan of the indie genre, including (but definitely not limited to): Beirut, Beach House, Fiona Apple, Islands, Hot Chip, Warpaint, etc. So...if you love music, we will have plenty to talk about.

Movies: The Coen brothers, Darren Aronofsky, Paul Thomas Anderson, Michael Haneke, Ingmar Bergman, Werner Herzog, David Lynch, Woody Allen so on and so forth ....

Writers: Charles Baudelaire, D.H. Lawrence, William Faulkner, Ernest Hemingway, F.Scott Fitzgerald, Thomas Hardy, Oscar Wilde, Franz Kafka, Milan Kundera, Foucault, Heidegger, Barthes, etc.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

My reflection in the mirror. (Kidding! Kind of...)
