Overview
About Me
I am 26 years old, and I decided to a
take a break from home, quit my job and travel. Now I am excited for all the amazing people, the crazy adventures and the beautiful new places that are coming my way, while also learning a lot about myself.
My all time favorite activity is going for long walks, if I could just do that for the rest of my life it would be perfect. Also, I love nature, walking around parks or forests, mountian hikes and basically any place with trees...I really love trees. I guess most people would describe me as a hippie.
Apart from that, I enjoy playing the jaw harp or the guitar, and drinking tea (a lot of tea).
I enjoy traveling (duhh) and especially hitch-hiking. I think this is one of the best ways to meet new people, get to new and unexpected places, while also having a thrill of adventure. It is also a way to remind myself how awesome and kind people are.
Also, lately I discovered the therapeutic effects of drawing, and I love spending time doing that, although I'm really bad at it.
Hmm...what else...
I also really like science and like to read the latest news about it, trying to keep myself up to date with the current understading of the world.
I've been vegan for the past 7-8 years for ethical reasons.
I guess these would be the main things, but you will find out a lot more if we meet in person. ^^
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
Making new friends and listening to their stories, experiencing other cultures and traditions.
Music, Movies, and Books
Movies: My all time favorite is The Lord of the Rings, closely followed by Star Wars, Into the Wild and Waking Life
Music: Nowadays I mostly listen to folk punk, usually guys like Pat the Bunny (and all of his projects), Matt Pless, Chris Burrows, Mischief Brew, Days n Daze, etc.
I also enjoy metal, folk and some nice traditional music, especially from countries like Iran or Kyrgyzstan.
Books: I enjoy quite a wide range of books, from philosophy and science, to Sufi poets or fantasy.
Teach, Learn, Share
Well, I can teach those interested how to play the jaw harp (really fun and underrated instrument) or maybe how to make origami cranes.
