About Me

Hey, I've been traveling indefinitely for almost 2 years now and love every second of it. I'm looking forward to meeting even more new people and learning about your cool cultures.

I'm 29 years old from the North of England - so you may find me a little difficult to understand sometimes, but I'm sure we'll make it work!

I've lived in Krakow, Poland for the last year and in Istanbul, Turkey before that. Now I'm back on the road looking to explore as many places as I can possibly can before I run out of energy/money. Should be fun!

Why I’m on Couchsurfing

I heard it's a great way to meet new people and stay in some cool places in countries you're not familiar with - so I thought, why not?

Music, Movies, and Books

With music it really depends on what mood I'm in but I listen to a lot of British rap when I'm in the mood for being pumped! Then when I'm more chilled out I like listening to lo-fi or slow funky techno/electronic music. I also love listening to classics from the 80 and 90s when I'm trekking around!

I mainly read self-development books, especially about meditation and Buddhism - those topics interest me. I like reading about people's journeys in those areas.

I also don't think I could say I like a certain type of movie specifically - I just like good movies! If it's good, it's good. But to avoid sitting on the fence, I like movies with a twist, kind of psychological. A film that really makes you think - can be quite nice.

One Amazing Thing I’ve Done

I quit my job as a college teacher and put all my life into my own business in the hope one day it could fund a digital nomad lifestyle. About a year later I was very fortunate to say it did!

I employed my younger sister and asked if she wanted to come with me and we both bought a 1-way ticket to Iceland. I've been on the road ever since. Feels surreal when I type it out like that but I couldn't be happier.

Teach, Learn, Share

Well, I'm an ex-business studies teacher at college/university level so if you're interested in any of that boring stuff I'd be happy to share my knowledge haha.

Nowadays, my focus is more on the digital nomad lifestyle and digital marketing services - specifically, copywriting and SEO. I love helping people to follow the digital nomad path if I can - I've been spending a lot of time doing that over the past 2 years. Guiding people on how to run their own business and break free from the shackles of the corporate nightmare!

What I Can Share with Hosts

A funny and positive personality! I can cook - a lot of vegan dishes too if you'd prefer! I also am an ex-business teacher and digital nomad content creator so not to blow my own trumpet but I'm quite knowledgeable on how to run a business - especially whilst traveling. So I'd be happy to help with anything in regards to that, if you're interested of course!

Apart from that, I'm just willing to get involved with pretty much anything and do my bit! I'm pretty new to this so I'm sure I'll learn more about it as I go.
