Overview
About Me
I'm a student from New Zealand, currently studying an exchange semester in Aarhus, Denmark, and then travelling back home through any number of places for a few months in 2019. Fostering community and connection through hospitality is something I was brought up on so want to share that with others both as a host and as a guest.
In my day to day life, I try and build solidarity in the global climate justice movement, and am passionate about politics, music, and urbanism! I love getting to know people, places and local culture through a cup-of-tea-conversation, wandering city streets, and listening to local music :)
Why I’m on Couchsurfing
I've heard great things about it as a way to travel that goes beyond a narrow consumer experience of a hostel or airbnb stay. Particularly in coming months while I am in Europe, I have lots of time to travel and host before I move back to New Zealand :)

Music, Movies, and Books
Music: Currently a massive fan of The War on Drugs and Wolf Alice. Also SWIDT and The Beths are New Zealand's greatest current undiscovered musical exports. Know them now before they become the next Lorde!
Books: Always Tolkein's The Lord of the Rings
Movie: Once (an Irish independent musical made on a tiny budget - great movie, heartbreaking songs!).
One Amazing Thing I’ve Done
Led a protest march at the COP22, the United Nations Global Climate Change Talks in Marrakech, Morocco in 2016.
Teach, Learn, Share
Whatever I can! A guitar jam/singalong, a short poem or activism strategy haha.
What I Can Share with Hosts
Good conversation and music! Will always wash dishes and love to help with cooking.
