To make friends in far away (and close-away) places, to get a real, inside look at what it's like to live in the place and let's be totally honest here, because I am frugal and can't afford nice hotels

I've become super active in recent years having completed everything from a 5k to a triathlon to hiking nearly 500 miles in one go. Along with that comes a voracious appetite and love for hearty delicious foods. I'm trying to get in touch with a hidden intellectual side I guess so I read a lot and listen more than I speak.
